 This blog was started to share foster care experiences.  I have been involved in foster care one way or another for the last 40 years.

Some of the tales will give tips that I have learned through trial and error.  Other tales will just be short stories about the various foster pets.  Once you have fostered an animal a neon sign goes up over your house that only animals can see.  It says in very large letters: “ Food, warmth and love given here“.   So don’t be surprised if others begin showing up.

I can guarantee one thing for certain… once you have fostered an animal you and your heart will never be the same.  I believe that there is a special place in heaven  for those who go beyond themselves to help another living creature survive or at least know what it is to be loved.

If you are reading this blog you are either contemplating becoming a foster mom or dad or have already had the experience.  I applaud you and your efforts.  The world will be a better place because of  sharing your love with an animal in need.
